Welcome to our nursing home Meissen!

An affectionate complete in-patient care is offered to 85 inhabitants in our nursing home in Meissen. In this city, which is world-famous for its porcelain factory, the nursing home is located in a central but nevertheless quite area. Meissen is not only attractive due to its historical old town but also due to a unique landscape with wonderful parks and gentle hills. Thanks to substantial reconstruction measures the historic house on the one hand impresses with modern convenience and on the other hand with a special architectural charm. All single- and double rooms on altogether four floors are equipped with a telephone system and can be reached easily. The house is, of course, barrier-free and has handrails as well as a lift. There is a good connection to public transport which is important for our mobile residents as well as for the visitors.

Windows that provide a lot of light and a warm atmosphere, which is also emphasized by the nostalgic soul of the house, characterize our nursing home completely.  In the corridors and common rooms a lot of small specifics and beautiful furnishings create a special sense of well-being. Personal things and furniture for one’s own room also produce a feeling of living in a safe new home.

We offer our inhabitants a lot of diversion so that they gain new impressions and nice memories every day. There are a lot of possibilities to be active as for example in the spacious therapy garden, in the popular petting zoo or working in the green house. In addition there are numerous big and small events as, for example, regular singing hours, summer events or regular excursions.

To feel at home

Our large dining- and cultural room on the second floor is preferred for common events and activities.  This comfortable room invites inhabitants and visitors alike to our merry events. The numerous activities are recorded in word and picture in the monthly house organ. With our holistic nursing approach we attach greatest importance to the personal needs of our inhabitants and also involve their families. Biography work therefore is a very important approach for us as it helps us to give our full attention to each person. We can thus guarantee a holistic care and a satisfying active day.
