Our nursing home “Manufaktur Bernhard” is surrounded by gently rising hills and delightful green and is located at the southern outskirts of Chemnitz.

The venerable building once belonged to one of the oldest factory buildings in Saxony and hasn’t lost one bit of its architectural and wonderful charm after intensive renovations and structural expansion. Together with the historical manor, where today seniors are able to live barrier-free, an elegant ensemble of buildings catches the eye of all residents, relatives and visitors. It is surrounded by a spacious and neat park complex which provides space for physical exercise, long walks and social gatherings outdoors.

Stopping points of public transport services nearby provide good connections to the city center. Thus the cultural offers of the city can be individually perceived by our residents.

Living with historic charm

The spacious foyer and the wide halls already greet visitors with an unmistakable pleasant atmosphere. Our residents can find a new home in our generously designed and light premises. We offer single- and double bedrooms as well as apartments tailored to the needs of senior citizens. The high-quality furnishings meet the newest standards of care and can of course be individually expanded by cherished articles.

We also respond to the needs of our senior citizens in the nursing field. It´s just as important to us, to actively encourage joint experiences through physical and cultural activities. We offer a wide range of services in the care area as well as special rooms, for residents whose mental performances are impaired. These range from a coordinated daily routine to garden activities on the dedicated roof terrace with a unique view into the greenery.

The joint meals which are served at different times of the day are also known as a wonderful moment for social interactions. Fresh and good nutritious food also meets our high quality standards. The meals are compiled according to the wishes of our residents.
