A warm welcome to our nursing home “Am Leineufer”

In March 2013 the completely stationary nursing home “Am Leineufer” opened. It is located at the scenic city harbor at the Goitzsche in the city Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Bitterfeld-Wolfen has 45.000 citizens and is said to be the social and economic center of the county Anhalt-Bitterfeld and provides a wide range of cultural offers.

The senior center does not only have an excellent location but in addition also has a modern and appealing architectural structure. On the one hand the lake which is close by gives you numerous options on leisure activities and offers the opportunity to relax a little. On the other hand the nearby Bitterfeld Market offers our residents and their visitors diverse shopping opportunities and a daily variety.

Numerous parking places close to the house and an excellent connection to public transport services make our house for our residents and relatives easily accessible. A spacious and very well-tended to outside area with wind protected terraces and with a relaxing view to the beautiful lake is at the disposal of the residents.

Together instead of alone

Our house offers 82 residents in modern single rooms, with its own bath and shower, WC and washing facility, space for comfort. Allocated to two levels, the nursing home disposes of a familial but still exclusive character which is also reflected in the interesting leisure activities offers. The offer of  social care is many-sided. In addition to the diversified joint offerings, including strength- and balance training, pottery, Animal-Assisted Therapies (AAP) and memory training we also offer individual occupational therapies and individual support. We provide activating care with the aim to allow, if possible, all residents to participate in the life as a group. Thus we guide residents and relatives in the usage of care aids (i.e. electrical wheelchairs, special mattresses, walking- and eating aids) and are helpful in claims towards cost bearers (i.e. health insurances).

We organize trips and walks in the nearby surroundings and prepare joint festivals and parties. This also regular church services in our house.Especially in the advent season numerous choirs from the county Bitterfeld and surroundings delight our residents.

Our care aims at the individual needs of the person. Safety, security, professionalism and life quality are the pillars of our work. We always support our residents and enable them to have a self-determined life; from basic care through the help to mobility to therapeutically treatments. Our claims to our own quality are always high and we are at a constant exchange with relatives and residents. We attach particular importance to the privacy and dignity of each resident.
